Melinda lives somewhere on her own little island that’s located just north of Boston. She resides there with her husband, two boys, and her pug Max.
She enjoys spending most of her time with her family & friend. The rest of the time she’s usually reading, blogging, planning author signing events, taking pictures, drinking coffee or wine (on occasion) or she’s eating something chocolate. When she’s not doing any of the above, she’s listening to music and writing.
Melinda can honestly say that she never hoped and dreamed of being an author. Although, she does throughly enjoy spending time writing (when the stories come to mind…it’s cluttered in there so they don’t come often). Who know’s maybe someday (when her kids are older?) she’ll have more time (and head space) to write. Since writing and releasing is not a race, she’ll just continue to do it all at her own pace. When she does get to self-publish something, she just really hopes that someone actually reads it. If you are that someone, she sure hopes you enjoy it. If not, #sorrynotsorry!
My first book is called Never Say Never. I self published this book on March 21, 2013. Very soon after hitting that publish button on Amazon I came to realize that my book needed a little more editing and to be revised a bit. So after some serious consideration I decided to take the book down and do what needed to be done to it. I managed to get it back up and for sale at the end of July 2013.
This book is a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more. So be aware of that. There is a part 2 to follow, Say Forever. Say Forever had unfortunately taken a back seat for awhile but, I am hoping to have it out sometime in the future just not sure when. Here and now I will apologize if you’ve read Never Say Never and are looking for more. I honestly didn’t mean to leave you hanging for so long. I will try and get it to you as soon as I can but unfortunately I have to write what’s there and I will not force it. If you have Never Say Never and have yet to read it…wait. Wait to read it so you won’t want to kill me for leaving you hanging.
My newest release, Taking Flight is available now only on Amazon. Taking Flight is a contemporary romance. Here are a few sneak peaks for you…

Some of my idols and inspirations are:
Author S.C. Stephens. Everything about the Thoughtless series; her writing style, depth of character build, and storyline. I just simply fell in love with her books and her writing. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her twice.
Then we have the very talented Jasinda Wilder all her books are just hot, steamy, packed with reality, and very well written. Every single one of hers books I loved and couldn’t put them down. I am so happy to say that I have been following her journey since the beginning. I have had the pleasure of seeing the side of her that is truly amazing. She is a very caring, sincere, and generous person. One day I will get to meet her too!
I’m also in love with Kendall Grey and her books…Yes in love! I love her with no doubt. She is one great friend and is very supportive. She is my idol and when I grow up I want to be just like her. She rocks my socks! I am so happy I get to call her a friend. Damn, what a set of kahunas on that one! 😀
Mary A. Wasowski has been my rock and I love her like a sister. I’d be lost without her. Not to mention I fell in love with her stories and writing so I look up to her as an author.
There are also many others this list could be a mile long. Running the blog I get to talk and get to know many authors who are all as equally inspiring. There are so many great ones out there and their books kick butt. Here are a few…
One of the best things throughout this whole journey….Building friendships. Making connections. I have met and became friends with so many people. I talk to some of them on a regular basis. Some daily. The dedication, motivation, and support we have for/with each other is amazing. It is such a treasure to be able to have such a strong connection with people who are in it for the same reasons you are. All these ladies are such huge motivators and supporters. It means so much to me to have them in my life and to be a part of theirs. You ladies keep me steady. I am grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you all for everything.
Book Blogging & Events….
Oh how I love this stuff! I run a book blog on Facebook that’s called Talkbooks. So with running the blog and with all the inspiring authors, I decided to plan my own author book signing event…the North Shore Author Signing. Our next event will be held in Peabody, MA at the Boston/Peabody Marriott on Saturday April 9, 2016. I hope you can make it and see all the authors that are touching so many people and inspire so many such as myself. Check out the NSAS site to see the amazing list of authors we have attending. Some of them are NY Times, USA Today, Amazon, and Barnes & Nobles best selling authors. But most importantly come to support Indie authors in general. Most of which are also from the New England area.
Happy Reading!
This is so inspirational Melinda. Thanks for sharing it with me and other readers like me. I love my Indie Authors like you! ❤

Hi Melinda, the town motto of Ipswich is “Never Say Never” but nobody seems to know why. Is your book related to that story? Thanks, Gordon Harris, http://ipswich.wordpress.com
Hey Gordon~
No my book has no relation to the town motto. I do love the saying myself as it’s very inspirational. You know, I am from that area as well.
Loved “Never Say Never (part 1)” even with the cliffhanger but now I NEED to know when part 2 will be coming out, please!
Just curious is when say forever will be out.
